NBC's hit drama inspired by the classic Grimm Brothers' Fairy Tales returns for its second season August 13, and before the new episodes air, Us Weekly gets to know Grimm's leading man, David Giuntoli, who appears as Portland Homicide Detective Nick Burkhardt.
1. Haven't yet gotten hooked on Grimm? If Giuntoli still looks familiar, you may have seen him before. Discovered by MTV while in a bar, the Indiana University grad toured the South Pacific for three months as part of the network's 2003 Road Rules installment, and won the Real World/Road Rules Challenge: The Gauntlet.
Goodbye to a late-night legend!
After more than 30 years in late-night TV, David Letterman signed off from CBS's Late Show, which he had hosted since 1993, for the last time on May 20. The weeks leading up to his goodbye have been star-studded and the final three episodes were no exception, featuring the likes of Tom Hanks, Eddie Vedder, Bob Dylan, and a very lively Bill Murray.
Letterman’s final show was an expectedly lighthearted and self-deprecating look back at the comedian’s late-night tenure, culminating in a performance from one of his favorite bands.

Days of Our Lives actor Freddie Smith lost control of his car on Tuesday, Oct. 7, and his girlfriend Alyssa Tabit was seriously injured, the Associated Press reports.
According to the site, the couple were driving in the early hours in Kingsville Township, Ohio, when authorities say Smith "failed to safely negotiate a left curve and lost control. It crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the road and struck a culvert.
