Vogue Drops Terry Richardson? "No Plans' to Work with Photographer

Vogue magazine is distancing itself from its former contributor, celebrity photographer Terry Richardson. The always-controversial Richardson, 48, landed in hot water again this weekend when a model named Emma Appleton posted a screenshot of a message allegedly from Richardson, reading, "If I can f–k you I will book you in [New York] for a shoot for Vogue."

While the authenticity of the correspondence has been questioned, Vogue's lack of desire to work with Richardson again seems much more certain.

"The last assignment Terry Richardson had for US Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future," the publication said in a statement to Us Weekly.

Richardsonwho has shot the likes of Miley Cyrus, RihannaKim Kardashian, and Lady Gagahas made waves because of the darkly sexual nature of his photographs and ongoing rumors regarding inappropriate conduct with his many subjects. His ex-girlfriend Audrey Gelman tweeted in December, that she, as well as her friend Lena Dunham, who was once shot by the photographer, both "have regrets."

Following the firestorm caused by Appleton's tweet, the model deleted her Twitter account. A representative for Richardson has denied the allegations, calling the screenshot "a fake," while Appleton, who originally captioned the photo "um what," maintains that it is real. Before deleting her account, she wrote "Beginning to wish I hadn't posted that… it doesn't matter who you are or what the industry is, just be a decent human being. The fact [that] people think this is acceptable blows my f–king mind. See ya."
