Just, maybe, time to go home? Tiger Woods had a really bad day on Thursday, June 18. The golfing pro not only played awfully during the first round of the 115th U.S. Open, he got Bobby Flay’ed.
During what is now being dubbed a “historically rough start,” Lindsey Vonn’s ex-boyfriend attempted to redeem himself on the course while a plane flew overhead with a banner that read “cheater.” (In case you missed it, Bobby Flay, who is amidst a bitter divorce battle with his estranged wife Stephanie March, was taunted by a similar banner during his Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on June 2. March’s rep later denied she had any involvement.)
On top of that, Elin Nordegren’s ex-husband got stuck in the rough on the eighth hole, and his club went flying into the air after he struck the ball.
Golf fans didn’t help the situation.
“Fox is airing a public execution of Tiger Woods golf game. #brutal #USOpen #ChambersBay,” one tweeted. Another added: “One of the easiest U.S. Open courses of our lifetimes and Tiger Woods is 10-over thru 14 holes? This is just sad at this point.”
“Tiger Woods should just stop golfing,” another added.
