Why not just a Hocus Pocus marathon? Three people are set to be buried alive for a Halloween special entitled Fear: Buried Alive, ABC News reports. The nightmarish two-hour event will air live on A&E Sunday, Oct. 26.

The brave souls will lie down in coffins — which will then be buried underground. While interred, contestants will experience "a series of escalating horrors designed to test the strength of their psyches," the network says in a press release. Horror director Eli Roth and sociologist Margee Kerr will also be on hand to talk them through it.

"We've got endorphins, dopamine and adrenaline all coursing through our body," Kerr says in a statement, "and it’s making us feel euphoric, powerful, primal, strong, really awesome."

The scary special reminded us of another small-screen stunt attempted last year – in which Discovery Channel promised to film a man being eaten by a snake for its Eaten Alive special. Paul Rosolie, who signed up for the gruesome gig in December 2014, decided to quit the experiment when he thought the anaconda was about to break his arm.

"Hey, we gave it the best shot we could!" the environmentalist told Jimmy Kimmel that month. "I think I owe it to the people of planet Earth to get eaten by something!"

Fear: Buried Alive will air on Sunday, Oct. 26, at 8 p.m. ET on A&E.
