A big brood! Teen Mom 2 alum Jenelle Evans and husband David Eason have a blended family of five children.
While the former MTV personality shares son Jace, born in 2009, with ex Andrew Lewis, and son Kaiser, born in 2013, with ex Nathan Griffith, Eason is father of daughter Maryssa, born in 2007, with ex Whitney Johnson, and son Kaden, born in 2013, with ex Olivia Leedham. Together, Evans and Eason share daughter Ensley, who was born in January 2017, nine months before her parents tied the knot.
In March 2023, Us Weekly broke the news that the North Carolina native was granted custody of Jace after a 13-year battle with her mom, Barbara Evans. (Shortly after Jace’s birth, Jenelle — who was 17 at the time — gave custody of her eldest son to her mother amid her partying lifestyle.)
“My mom and I decided together to grant full custody back to me because we want to build our relationship back as mother and daughter,” Jenelle exclusively told Us in April 2023 about her legal win. “Also, my mother agrees it’s time for Jace to be back with his siblings and living with a mother and father.”
Jenelle added: “She also thinks it’s important for Jace to be around a father figure to learn ‘boy things’ and have ‘men talk.’ She has seen the way David parents my children and she knows we’re able to handle it. We want to all get along for the sake of the children and like I said before, building back our relationship as mother and daughter. We have officially signed the papers … it’s a done deal!”
While Jenelle and Eason have had a rocky romance over the years — including temporarily losing custody of their kids in 2019 after Eason shot and killed the family dog after the pup bit Ensley — they have come together for their blended family, sharing numerous snaps with their children throughout their romance. In April 2023, Jenelle’s manager, August Keen, exclusively told Us, “Jenelle and David are definitely together and things between them are great. They’re a happy family and they are completely fine.”

Though most family snaps don’t include Eason’s son Kaden due to his mother’s wishes he stay out of the spotlight, Jenelle has shared occasional family photos with her stepson, who is the same age as his stepbrother Kaiser.
