A shower scene between Megan Fox and Hannah Simone? From the outset it sounds like every man’s fantasy, but in actuality, the moment on set between the New Girl star and the upcoming guest wasn’t sexy at all.
“It was cold! It was cold and wet, and we were wearing barely anything,” Simone, 35, told Us Weekly exclusively at the Us Weekly Video Lounge at ChefDance at the Sundance Film Festival. “We really were in the shower, and they really were dumping buckets and buckets and buckets of water on us, and we were just trying to hold on and get through it … I lived out every heterosexual man’s dream.”
The hit Fox comedy had to get creative for season 5 after lead Zooey Deschanel revealed she was pregnant with her first child.
“It’s always strange if one of us isn’t there, but she was off having a beautiful baby, so we’re all super happy for her, and we’re so excited to welcome her back,” Simone said of her onscreen bestie.
On the sitcom, Deschanel’s Jess leaves for a month to serve jury duty, making way for guest Fox, who plays the ex-girlfriend of Cece (Simone). Fox’s first episode will air on February 9.
Naturally, this throws a kink into Cece and Schmidt’s wedding plans.
“Cece’s already had a wedding once on the show, and a badger fell from the roof and Taylor Swift appeared, so I don’t know how they’re going to top that,” the Catdance: Sponsored by Fresh Step host said. “But knowing the New Girl writers, they will!”
New Girl airs on Fox on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. EST.
