Born in L.A. on March 18, 1979, Levine’s love of music began in his junior high days. After a brief stint in his first group, Kara’s Flowers, Levine and Maroon 5 released their first album, Songs About Jane in 2002. The band’s 2007 sophomore album, It Won’t Be Soon Before Long, peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Levine was also a judge on NBC’s The Voice from 2011 to 2019.
The singer has been romantically linked to Natalie Portman, Paris Hilton, Maria Sharapova, Kirsten Dunst and Victoria’s Secret model Anne Vyalitsyna. In July 2013, Levine announced his engagement to model Behati Prinsloo and they were married in 2014. The two share daughters Dusty Rose, born in 2016, and Gio Grace, born in 2018. In September 2022, Prinsloo confirmed she was expecting their third child. Just days after the pregnancy announcement, multiple women came forward accusing the “Payphone” singer of exchanging flirty messages with them while married to the Namibia native.
Levine addressed the allegations in a statement, accepting responsibility for correspondences that “became inappropriate” but denying he’d had an affair. The musician added that he and his family would “get through it together.”
